Driving Change Through Education, Empowerment, and Sustainability
To empower vulnerable communities for a just and inclusive future
In rural Bungoma County harsh effects of SGBV, Teen Pregnancy and cases of HIV infections are the main causes of school dropouts amongst younger people; as a result, a huge population has remained economically impoverished.
Single elderly people and persons living with disabilities in our community have not only endured poverty, stigma and isolation, but they have also quietly suffered the nagging challenges of lacking access to primary healthcare services, sanitation needs such as water, pit latrines, housing, dish racks and basic furniture in their households; these are basic needs that define dignity of any human being.
Founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2017, A Sprinkle of Hope is transforming lives and changing the grain. Through partnerships, collaborations, and innovation, we are keeping children in school, teaching financial and social education for economic empowerment, reducing teen pregnancies, going green, and feeding the elderly and PWD in our communities.
The future is gradually opening up for all, thanks to our partners.
“We are a movement of change, and with the right attitude, as a people, we shall overcome all the barriers.”
These are the words that drove Abel Khisa to create A Sprinkle of Hope, a safe space and a springboard for thousands across Bungoma County. Growing up amidst economic hardship and social inequality, Abel understood firsthand the struggles facing youth—especially young girls. Instead of watching from the sidelines, he took a bold step—turning compassion into action. Today, Abel leads the organization with relentless passion, working hand-in-hand with partners, volunteers, schools, and local leaders to bring about real, lasting change.
